A Steadfast Faith

April 2018

Dorothy had it right: there's no place quite like home! Our latest trip was short, but we are thankful to be back in the West.

We had great meetings in Alabama and at our sending church in South Carolina with times of sweet fellowship in both locations. It was very encouraging to have a lot of people interested in learning more about ministering in Mormon country! (Side note: we love when people ask questions!)

We also enjoyed our brief time recruiting at Bob Jones University, and would like to thank those of you who took the time to stop by and say hello or talk to us about ministry in the West. We had a few people express interest in the field, but still covet your prayers for officially-committed team members.

We're diving back into our regular work and ministry for now. This month, Lord willing, we'll finally be able to see James pinned as Captain in the National Guard. We'll also be heading to Thayne, WY, for a brief regional meeting of those associated with Northwest Baptist Missions. Elizabeth also continues to work on decreasing her medication; she continues to feel pretty good, but some of her recent blood work came back borderline-high, so much prayer would be appreciated for that.

Beyond our other ongoing requests for full-time support (a big thank you to those already supporting us!) and fellow team-members, we are also needing to raise money for a decent projector, for use in our presentations and later within our church ministry. We need something that will provide a bright, clear image in a dimly-lit auditorium-sized room, and the models we're considering run between $300-$400. If you'd like to help us out with this one-time need, let us know!

Other than that, we appreciate your continued prayers as we schedule meetings for 2019 and continue seeking wisdom for the future. We are very grateful for your faithful support as we seek to obey God's leading.

For the Sake of His Name,
James & Elizabeth Johnson
