A Steadfast Faith

April 2025

Our newsletter was delayed this month so we could update you on some things that have been happening recently.

First, God has blessed us by providing some extra help for the summer ministry in Cokeville with a mission team from Fellowship Baptist Church in Nampa, Idaho. We are looking forward to what God will do with the extra hands for VBS, including some extra door-to-door and a special music-and-gospel service in the park. Please pray with us for the planning and fruitfulness of these outreaches, and for the team as they prepare to come in July.

Second, another big praise is that RG has started returning to Sunday services! Pray for their faithful attendance and attentiveness; but more importantly, that they will choose to wholeheartedly trust God and grow in Him.

Continue in prayer for the salvation of C&J, RG, BR, B, R&R, the R's, and others that we have had contact with. Pray that some of the local believers in Cokeville who attend other churches in other towns will gain an interest in the church in their hometown - and will come and become a core of believers. With that, pray also that God would provide ongoing help for us to start a regular children's Sunday School, and that we can begin it after VBS this summer.

Our regular ministries continue to do well. In the jail, we had a new state inmate join the Monday night discipleship group. Friday services have seen the regular coming and going of detainees who have heard the gospel preached to them. At the church in Kemmerer, just as in Cokeville, VBS preparations are well underway. Please be praying with us for this outreach, and also for God to direct us about the needed expansion of the building. We are also preparing for special Easter services in both churches this coming Sunday - and praying that God would bring people out who have thought about visiting, or have not been in a while.

Health-wise, we both continue to be fairly stable. Elizabeth had several good yearly check-ups recently, and is hoping to focus on other things besides medical appointments for a while. James has remained much the same, even with some medication changes over the past few months. As always, we both appreciate your prayers for continued strength and stamina.

We are thankful to report that our van is working again. The Lord gave James an idea that turned out to be a surprisingly easy fix, and the local shop generously did not charge us for their time while it was in the shop. It is getting up there in mileage, but we still hope to get several more years of use with it around town.

There have been a few more houses come on the market recently, but unfortunately the ones that meet our needs continue to be just out of range for our current budget. Things are still overpriced here, due to the plant coming in, but the interest rate is what's really hurting us. We are praying earnestly for God to bring that down soon so we can find a place to settle and minister!

We are very grateful for your support and continued prayers. It is an encouragement to our hearts, and we know that God is working through them!
