Summer is over, and a new phase of our journey is beginning! We'll be heading out soon for our first round of deputation meetings - and while we're not looking forward to the long hours on the road, we're excited to share our burden for Cache County! Our first trip will be to our old stomping grounds in Greenville, SC.
We'll be presenting our ministry at our sending church, Faith Baptist Church of Reidville, and helping with various ministries there on September 17th and 24th. The following week, October 2-5, we'll be representing our mission board (Northwest Baptist Missions) at Bob Jones University's Global Opportunities Conference. If you're in the Greenville area, let us know! We'd love to get together for coffee and share the vision God's given us for this region of the West.
Meanwhile, we're both continuing with our regular work responsibilities... sort of. We have both seen a cut in work hours over the past month for various reasons, and although we'll be working part-time while on the road, it won't quite be enough to cover our regular expenses. If you feel led to help support us during this time, would you mind giving something through our Patreon page? Or you could always mail a check to us directly at P.O. Box 1051, Kemmerer, WY 83101. (If you'd like other options, just reply and let us know what you have in mind!)
In other news, we have a huge praise: James was finally able to go before the Utah National Guard board a few weeks ago, and has been officially approved as a full Chaplain and will be promoted to the rank of Captain as soon as the paperwork goes through. While this does mean he is now eligible for deployments, we are thankful to finally move past this step and see him serving how God called him to in the military.
One final note: if you haven't visited our Facebook page yet, would you take a moment to do so? We'll be sharing quick updates and snapshots there as we travel, and don't want you to miss any of our updates!
We covet your prayers as we transition to this next phase! Here are a few specific requests we have:
We so very much appreciate your support!
For the Sake of His Name,
James & Elizabeth Johnson
